Message from our ASB President

Nikhil Altamirano

I’m excited to introduce myself to you all as your ASB President for the 2025–26 school year.

The year is just beginning, and we are already off to a great start. As representatives of The Science Academy, we as an Associated Student Body are here to provide for the engagement and well-being of all students. From the many events we bring to the participation you show, I hope this year can be one to remember!

Our ASB meetings are held every Wednesday and Friday in Mr. Shepherd’s room N302 during lunch, along with a 7th period Leadership elective class held daily at the same location. We know there are plenty of students who wish to make suggestions for changes and improvements, which is why we would love for you, as Science Academy voices, to drop in, learn about what we do, and give your input during the meetings.

This year, familiar events such as STEM Central, March Madness, monthly Spirit Weeks, and our drives for the homeless are here to stay, but with our new introduction of a Sports Day and a Science Academy Pep Rally, we will help keep our student body engaged and having fun.

So, please, if you see any of our wonderful ASB cabinet in the hallways, make a suggestion to them. Tell us your wants and needs, as we desire to give our peers a place to feel growth, joy, and comfort. If anyone wants to help make an impact, please feel free to check out the suggestion form in the Resources section of the Science Academy student body outreach Schoology Group or via our suggestion box in the Magnet Office.

Thank you all, and I’m looking forward to an amazing year together!
